03/02/03 - Alison's Halo are planning on releasing a double cd retrospective near the end of 2003. The first cd will be a remastered version of "Eyedazzler" while the second unnamed cdep will consist of six unreleased songs recorded during the "Eyedazzler" sessions. The songs are as follows: strain, tangled up, unravel you, feathered boy, happy and eyedazzler.

Alison's Halo was formed in Tempe, Arizona during the fall of 1992 by Catherine Cooper (Vocals & Guitar), Adam Cooper (Guitar & Loops), Lynn Anderson (Bass & Vocals) and Alison (our Drum Machine). Within months of formation the band burst onto the local scene and immediately began securing shows with national acts (TheVerve, Ultra Vivid Scene, The Boo Radleys, Medicine, Bailter Space and others) as well as being invited to perform at numerous pop festivals around the country. Soon after, the band entered their home studio and emerged with material that would become their first single.

The "Dozen" single was co-released by the band and Independent Project Records in the early months of 1995 to wonderful national reviews and extensive college radio airplay. Shortly after the recording, the band invited David Rogers (Bass & Vocals), and Roger Brogan (Drums) to join the group. The single's beautiful blend of chiming guitar noise and Catherine's breathtaking melodies perked many an ear and fueled the overwhelming desire for the band to load up the van and head out for a successful string of west coast dates.

Since then Alison's Halo have self-released numerous cassettes, appeared on numerous compilations, played countless shows and festivals (CMJ, SXSW, INTEL etc) and have continued developing their own brand of noisy space-pop. For their latest Burnt Hair release, the band carefully sifted through a mountain of various 2, 4, & 8 porta-studio cassettes, to assemble a stunning collection of songs tracing the band's growth in both the songwriting and recording fidelity over the course of the last six years.
